My visit to Camden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well some of you may know I live in London, which is absolutely great,  because I get to go on trips with my family to Camden market and have a great time. It gave me a great opportunity to find interesting things and like I usually do, I did!!! I am going to show you some of my finds as a catch-up on my blog. I know I will enjoy telling you.

Right let's start. As you can see above is a picture of meeeee!!!!!!!!! I am in a fabulous shop called
Cyberdog in Camden. It is a huge night club style shop over three floors. It's dark with ultra violet lights (it makes all the neon clothes look flourescent). There was also a DJ and two cage dancers.

As you walk in to Cyberdog there is loud music and lots of robot statues. As you go down the escalators there is a range of flourescent accessories and clothing (as you can see from the pictures there is also a range of kids clothing). The accessories include headphones, jewellery, make-up and hair strips.

On the entrance to the third floor it says 'no under 18s' and I think they should change the name of the third floor from Cyberdog to CyberDODGE!

We were wandering around the market once more and all we could hear was the excitement of people chattering from all different directions, it was CHAOS!!!!!There were adults and children from many places all talking differrent languages. I nearly tripped over once or twice!!!!!!!! I could smell the HORRID smoke from cigarettes, poluting the planet and the smell of fresh kebabs being eaten as quickly as can be.

This is one of the bits of jewellery that I bought. I also bought one for a friend's birthday and her Auntie said 'oh, where did you get this from, I want one for my daughter!'

  1. Camden Town...we used to Kensingston market for our 'gear' and Portabello Rd. Camden has changed beyond recognition...fuuny to think Wembley market used to draw all sorts to it too!Anyone remember when the Duffer of St George openned up at the top of Portabello Rd? Ken market used to be sooooo coool! Bits of Camden were like that opposite the station, now all gone...my favourites used to include old army surplus stores. Jack's in Harrow Weald was one of a kind, old photos of him (Jack) in his Spitfire - I bought an original Grey flying jacket for £1.50 in 1981 or '82 and had a short new romantic haircut, how proud was I??? Takes me back to skin heads and Harrington jackets...

  2. Wow Lily! I remember when I went to Cyberdog 15 years ago, when I was similar in age - sounds like it hasn't changed one bit! I love the black skirt with the neon pattern on it. Hope you managed to buy yourself something pretty. You should go to Portobello Market - lots of vintage jewellery to be had there!
